ÖCALAN'S CALL

The DEM Party delegation, which visited İmralı Island yesterday (February 27), read out the call from PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan during a press conference they held in Istanbul following the meeting.

In his statement, Öcalan said, "As every modern society and party whose existence has not been forcibly ended would do voluntarily, convene your congress and make a decision for integration with the state and society; all groups must lay down their arms and the PKK must dissolve itself. I convey my greetings to all segments that believe in living together and heed my call."
