DEM Party MP confirms! Başak Demirtaş has filed for candidacy for Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality
DEM Party Istanbul MP Özgül Saki has confirmed that Başak Demirtaş has filed her candidacy application for the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) mayoral race.

It has been confirmed that Başak Demirtaş, the wife of former HDP Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş, has filed an application for the DEM Party's Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidacy.
Speaking to Fırat Yeşilçınar of Tele1.com.tr, DEM Party Istanbul MP Özgül Saki announced that Başak Demirtaş filed her candidacy application for the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality today.
Saki stated the following:
"The candidacy application has been filed. However, I am not sure if it was submitted to the headquarters. Usually, candidates apply at the headquarters, but I am not certain, so I will not say anything further."
When asked, "Was the candidacy application filed today?" Saki replied, "Yes."
