Former HDP Co-Chair and DEM Party Van MP Pervin Buldan stated, "Once my term as an MP ends, I will leave politics for good."

Speaking on a broadcast on Artı TV, Buldan added, "I will not go anywhere near politics in any way, shape, or form."

"IT WOULD NOT BEFIT US TO ABANDON THIS STRUGGLE"

Stating that she will continue her human rights struggle in different institutions outside of politics, Buldan said the following:

"Struggling is something different; of course, this struggle is not limited to being an MP. There are different aspects and different areas of the struggle, and we will contribute from somewhere. It would not befit us to abandon this struggle, of course, but not in the political arena, naturally. There are many other areas in different channels outside of that. There are human rights organizations. I will support this struggle in one of those institutions."

HER MEMORY WITH KENAN EVREN

During the program, Buldan also recounted her encounter with Kenan Evren. Explaining that she and a friend were sent to Ankara to represent Hakkari when they were high school students, Buldan said she met Evren at a ceremony they attended. Buldan stated that when Evren saw the name 'Hakkari' on their lapels, he asked them, "Are you one of the 'tailed ones'?" She noted that they could not give him an answer because they did not understand what Evren meant.
