DEM Party reiterates call for İmralı meeting: 'Share the minutes'

DEM Party Co-Chair Tuncer Bakırhan is speaking at the group meeting. Bakırhan stated, "The minutes from İmralı must be shared with the public. It is time for practical steps, not just 'words'."

Key highlights from Tuncer Bakırhan's remarks are as follows:

-When the trustee arrived, it halted activities aimed at overcoming obstacles in Mardin and Van. There is no one on their agenda who is marginalized. We want sign language to be recognized and placed under constitutional protection. The budget allocated for the disabled is 1.2. The budget must be increased.

-The commission's meeting with Öcalan is very important. This process is not a failure. It is time to establish our law of brotherhood on a legal basis. Doomsday scenarios were written before the meeting. What did we lose? Going there was an important step for peace. The commission will meet again on December 4. The meeting minutes will be shared. We want the minutes from İmralı to be shared with the public as well. The government must also accept the process that will ensure social peace. It is time for practical steps, not words. We expect solution-oriented steps from the commission.

'WE KNOW THE EXECUTIONER VERY WELL'

-The main opposition leader made some accusations against our party. Mr. Özgür Özel mentions Stockholm syndrome? We know the executioner very well. -I will make a proposal for the first time. Parliament should establish a commission and go to Syria immediately. It should listen to the problems of the Alevis.
