DEM Party responds to claims of 'late submission of lists'
The Istanbul Provincial Election Board announced that the DEM Party submitted its application for the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidacy on time and that the party's application has been accepted.

According to the election calendar prepared by the Supreme Election Council (YSK) for the Local Administration General Elections to be held on March 31, the deadline for political parties to submit their candidate lists ended at 17.00.
Political party district presidencies submitted their candidate lists for mayoral, municipal council membership, and provincial general assembly membership elections to the district election boards. In metropolitan cities, political party provincial presidencies submitted their metropolitan mayoral candidate lists to the provincial election boards by 17.00.
Independent candidates also made their applications to the provincial and district election boards by 17.00 today.
CLAIM THAT "DEM PARTY DID NOT SUBMIT ISTANBUL LISTS"
It was claimed that the DEM Party's candidate list was not accepted because the application to the Istanbul Provincial Election Board was made late.
However, DEM Party Spokesperson Ayşegül Doğan stated in a statement that they made their applications on time and that there were no issues.
STATEMENT FROM DEM PARTY
The DEM Party shared the list submission receipt from the Istanbul Provincial Election Board on its social media account. The statement said, "Do not pay attention to speculations. We are continuing our work with our Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality co-mayoral candidates Meral Danış Beştaş and Murat Çepni. Good luck to us all. May our path be clear."
