DEM Party Spokesperson Ayşegül Doğan made assessments regarding the agenda during a press conference held at the party's headquarters. Doğan stated that consultations regarding the legal regulation efforts for the terrorist organization PKK's dissolution process are ongoing.

Touching upon the "framework law" discussions that have come to the agenda within the scope of the process, Doğan expressed that there are different approaches to the issue and that the negotiations have not yet been completed. According to Doğan, the regulation to be prepared should be handled with a "comprehensive" management approach for the continuation of the process.

Doğan said that the discussions are now focused on the topics of legal guarantees and institutionalization. Arguing that the process has experienced the most deficiencies in these areas, Doğan emphasized that the legal regulation should not be seen as limited only to passing a law through Parliament or the return of those who lay down their arms.

Stating that their goal is to end the 50-year conflict and open the door to the resolution of a 100-year problem, Doğan noted that they are aware of their historical responsibilities. Doğan expressed that they expect all political actors to act with the same sensitivity and seriousness.
