Denial from those parties regarding the 'Abdullah Gül' claim

Felicity Party Deputy Chairman Yusuf Sunar and Future Party Deputy Chairman Ali Aydın made statements regarding the claims concerning the 11th President, Abdullah Gül.

It had been alleged that "the Felicity Party and the Future Party would merge, and the 11th President, Abdullah Gül, would be brought in as the chairman."

While mutual holiday visits by political party representatives continued in Ankara on the second day of Eid al-Adha, the Felicity Party delegation visited the New Welfare Party (Yeniden Refah Partisi).

During the visit, the claim that "the Felicity Party and the Future Party would merge, and the 11th President, Abdullah Gül, would be brought in as the chairman" was brought to the agenda. 

"WE WILL ENTER THE CONGRESS WITH A SINGLE NAME"

Regarding the claim, Felicity Party Deputy Chairman Yusuf Sunar said, "He is welcome to come; he would be on our head. Our door is open to everyone. We are already together with the Future Party. We have a group in Parliament. Our door is open, but the Felicity Party's congress will have been held on June 30. We think we will enter the congress with a single name. There is no truth to the news you mentioned." 

"HE IS FROM KAYSERI, HE CALCULATES WELL"

Future Party Deputy Chairman Ali Aydın stated, "This claim is extremely foreign and distant to us. I am someone who meets with Mr. Abdullah closely. Mr. Abdullah has no such request or intention. There is nothing concrete like this at the moment. The situation will be re-evaluated according to the new headquarters formation in the Felicity Party."

YRP member Doğan Aydal also used the expression, "I don't find it very likely. Mr. Abdullah is from Kayseri; he calculates well."
