İYİ Party leader Müsavat Dervişoğlu delivered significant messages at the opening of the second term of his party's Politics Academy, held at the party headquarters. In his speech there, Dervişoğlu, who criticized the country's current political order, stated his position by saying, "Regardless of who it is done to or where it is done, we are absolutely against the trustee mentality that eliminates the nation's right to vote."

In his speech, Dervişoğlu said that it is no longer just events, but the meanings attributed to these events that have become a serious field of struggle. He pointed out that we are going through a period where war and peace, diplomacy and pressure, economy and security are intertwined. Emphasizing the uncertainty in society, Dervişoğlu made the assessment, "Tensions can quickly turn into conflict, and states can change direction with sudden decisions. Our people, on the other hand, can suddenly be forced to pay very heavy prices."

Stating that politics should not be seen as consisting only of daily debates, Dervişoğlu said, "For us, politics begins with reading the world, the nation, and the state correctly. We cannot protect our national state without correctly analyzing the period we are living in."

"THE ABSENCE OF POLITICS IS THE POINT WHERE THE NATION'S WILL IS DISREGARDED"

Stating that legal and social guarantees have weakened in society, Dervişoğlu expressed that people are being turned into managed crowds rather than individuals who have a say in their own destiny, and said the following:

"As a result, authoritarianism grows, democratic traditions are damaged, and harmful and destructive political approaches that weaken the nation's will gain prevalence."

Arguing that the constitution, traditions, and laws are being eroded in state administration, Dervişoğlu said that the Republic's order, established on merit and the will of the people, has been replaced by quests for an order that narrows the space for public consent. Dervişoğlu said, "As the İYİ Party, it is impossible for us to ever accept such tendencies."

CLEAR REACTION TO TRUSTEE PRACTICES

Stating that a picture he defines as a "station of non-politics" has begun to prevail, Dervişoğlu used the following expressions:

"In any country where appointment replaces election, intervention replaces competition, and privilege replaces the rule of law, politics is disregarded. This is the place where the nation's choice is not given an opportunity. For this reason, regardless of which party it is, opposing the practice of appointing trustees to municipalities or political will is a requirement of our party's fundamental principles."

MESSAGE TO YOUTH AND THE POLITICS ACADEMY

Expressing that the Politics Academy is not just a classroom environment, but a platform where concepts such as state, law, nation, and responsibility will be discussed in both their real and moral dimensions, Dervişoğlu shared his satisfaction with the interest of young people in such a program.

Stating that they want to make politics a reliable field again against the growing sense of hopelessness and distrust among young people, Dervişoğlu made his call with these words:

"You did not come here just to listen. You came to think, question, discuss, and learn. We expect you to grasp politics not only with technical knowledge, but with conscience and morality. Because what Turkey needs are cadres whose words and essence are one."
