Ali Babacan made statements regarding the holiday greetings to be held with the AKP, saying, "There will be a holiday greeting with the AK Party. Thus, we see that a 6-year blockade, a stubbornness not to exchange holiday greetings, has been broken in a way." This statement was interpreted as the long-standing tension between the parties gradually coming to an end. Emphasizing the DEVA Party's approach to communication, Babacan said, "We are a political party that can easily talk to everyone from every segment, that has no 'other,' no enemies, and can establish a dialogue with everyone one way or another."
