Akalın used the following expressions regarding his decision on his X account:
“This is my announcement to the public! As a result of initiatives taken mostly in the opposite direction of the ideas we have presented since its establishment, and with the conviction that my engaging in politics within the DEVA Party will not bring any benefit to the party or the country, I am resigning from all my duties in the party.
