Devlet Bahçeli compares Erdoğan to Suleiman the Magnificent and Murat Kurum to Mimar Sinan!

The draw ceremony for the 455,000th disaster housing unit, the key handover, and the mass opening ceremony for completed investments have begun in Hatay. Speaking first at the ceremony, MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli compared President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to Suleiman the Magnificent and Minister of Environment and Urbanization Murat Kurum to Mimar Sinan.

MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli delivered the first speech at the ceremony. Stating that Hatay has been reborn from its ashes, Bahçeli wished mercy upon those who lost their lives in the earthquake.

Bahçeli spoke as follows:

"I observe with appreciation and admiration that Hatay has been reborn from its ashes and has stood up again with a mobilization of revival from one end to the other. Immediately following the Kahramanmaraş earthquakes with magnitudes of 7.6 and 7.7 that we were subjected to on February 6, 2023, a tremendous struggle was launched with state and nation solidarity to heal the wounds of the terrible disaster.

11 of our provinces and 113 of our districts; 14 million of our citizens were faced with the dire consequences of the earthquake and the heart-wrenching destruction. In essence, our entire nation was shaken with sorrow, and our Turkey was rocked by the disaster of the century.

In your presence, I wish mercy from Allah to our citizens who lost their lives in the February 6 earthquakes, and I pray that their graves be filled with light and their places be in heaven.

It is not ethical to derive rent from disasters. The game of putting the state in a difficult position did not work. I thank everyone who contributed to the construction of the century. The reconstruction of the earthquake zone is a historic success. Those who serve will find support.
