Devlet Bahçeli targets CHP at Mersin rally: 'It is finished, it has been occupied'

Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) leader Devlet Bahçeli spoke at his party's rally in Mersin.

Targeting the CHP, Bahçeli stated, "The 'DEM-infused' CHP looks at the fight against terrorism with a skewed perspective. It is this CHP that is the lawyer for the terrorist Demirtaş. It is this CHP that hands over the municipalities under its administration to terrorist sympathizers; today's CHP is finished, exhausted, captive, and has been occupied."

Calling on citizens to go to the polls, Bahçeli announced his party's mayoral candidates in Mersin.

Declaring Serdar Soydan as the candidate for the Metropolitan Municipality, the candidates announced by Bahçeli are as follows;

A devastating and terrible humanitarian drama is unfolding in Gaza. For 114 days, children have been slaughtered, and babies have been losing their lives drinking their own blood instead of milk. Israel is committing the crime of genocide, targeting innocent and defenseless people. This blood must stop now, and the guns must fall silent. Peace must be established between Israel and Palestine, and a climate for a two-state solution must be created. The interim measure decision taken by the International Court of Justice last Friday regarding Israel's barbaric attacks is a positive development. No country can ignore, disregard, or play the 'three monkeys' regarding this interim decision, which registers Israel's injustice and lawlessness and acts as a voice for humanitarian demands. The fact that the genocide case filed by South Africa against Israel will be heard on its merits due to the existence of reasonable evidence is an important gain for justice and law. For countries that are parties to the United Nations Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, the aforementioned decision of the International Court of Justice is, of course, binding. It is the debt of conscience and humanity of the international community that the war crimes and genocide committed against the oppressed Palestinians do not go unpunished. There can be no question of denying or neglecting this debt. Justice must be served. The account for the infants who died crying must be demanded from Israel. Turkey stands with the right and the righteous in this process. Turkey is on the side of humanity and against the oppressors. We see those who are going crazy because of this.

Indeed, we are aware of those who are frightened, and we are conscious of those who are positioning themselves to trip us up. They are using terrorist organizations to put Turkey in a difficult position and ensure it gets buried in internal problems. They are unleashing hired killers upon us. The goal is to stop Turkey and extract concessions. The goal is to damage and weaken Turkey's growing regional and global image. The US is extremely uncomfortable with our presence in Iraq and Syria. It is dissatisfied with the execution of operations against the separatist terrorist organization. So, what is the US looking for in Syria? What is it doing in Iraq? The presence of the US, whose internal problems are becoming increasingly widespread and whose polarization between states has hardened after the Texas crisis, in neighboring countries is immoral, illegal, and illegitimate.
