Devlet Bahçeli's striking Eid al-Adha message! 'Carefully hidden within the messages of softening...'
In his message released for Eid al-Adha, MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli stated, "It is more or less clear which insidious ambitions and which flawed goals the campaign of lies, gossip, and slander, carefully hidden and wrapped within the messages of softening, is focused on."

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli has released a message for Eid al-Adha.
While the emphasis on 'softening' in the Eid al-Adha message of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan did not go unnoticed, Bahçeli's message also contained striking remarks.
Emphasizing that there is nothing abnormal in Turkey, Bahçeli stated, "Moreover, there will be no one to be convinced by or to give credence to the secret agenda ushers who would irritate the nerve endings of our nation with nonsense about normalization."
Bahçeli continued as follows:
"The goals of those who are eager to open a political breathing tube for themselves by distorting the truth, keeping fake proposals warm, and trying to cover up their failed understandings with hypocritical tactics are empty, and their efforts are in vain.
It is more or less clear which insidious ambitions and which flawed goals the campaign of lies, gossip, and slander, carefully hidden and wrapped within the messages of softening, is focused on.
The hypocrisy of those political, miserly, and irritable mentalities that pose as soft on one hand, while raining down the hatred and anger they carry in their character and background on the other, is at a shameful level these days."
The full text of Bahçeli's message is as follows:
All the pains of a period in which humanity's longings for peace, tranquility, prosperity, stability, and security are interrupted are being experienced and inflicted on a large scale.
Spiritual weaknesses, flaws in solidarity and cooperation, and damage to the sense of empathy are unfortunately prevalent and dominant at serious levels across the world.
The existence and prevalence of visible bottlenecks in the efforts to build a more civilized, more modern, happier, and more prosperous common future are truly at undeniable dimensions.
The established international order is undergoing severe tremors morally, legally, and conscientiously; when the social, political, and economic consequences of this tremor are linked to the spiritual crisis humanity is experiencing, a dire world picture emerges.
The only salvation prescription from today's humanity period, where the foundations are crumbling, the mechanisms are broken, and the basis of legitimacy is corrupted, is adherence to and compliance with human rights in accordance with their true meaning, and universal legal principles that will not differentiate according to the perpetrator or the act.
I want to express with particular concern this striking point: the civilization preaching and freedom promises of a world where children are slaughtered carry no meaning beyond a pipe dream.
The climate of mercy of a world that has drifted into humanitarian disasters is arid, and its will for affection is murky and suspicious.
In a world where the crime of genocide is openly committed, talking about respect and loyalty to humanitarian heritage and trusts is, if not naivety, a high-level distortion and even a perverse exploitation.
When we consider that billions of people are trapped in a poverty trap and buried in the injustice of income, wealth, and equal rights distribution; and when we take into account that they are struggling with hunger, poverty, oppression, terrorism, migration, and many other problems, it will be clearly understood and confirmed that global and regional-based injustice is not sustainable.
Despite the world being dragged into a chaotic impasse, our Turkey is drawing an influential and exceptional picture in the new century of the Republic.
The goals of the Turkish and Turkey Century have greened hopes and illuminated the face of the future with the call of history.
The period of economic recovery and flourishing that will consolidate and strengthen social and political stability has also, thank God, appeared on the horizon.
For this reason, there is nothing abnormal in our country; moreover, there will be no one to be convinced by or to give credence to the secret agenda ushers who would irritate the nerve endings of our nation with nonsense about normalization.
The goals of those who are eager to open a political breathing tube for themselves by distorting the truth, keeping fake proposals warm, and trying to cover up their failed understandings with hypocritical tactics are empty, and their efforts are in vain.
It is more or less clear which insidious ambitions and which flawed goals the campaign of lies, gossip, and slander, carefully hidden and wrapped within the messages of softening, is focused on.
The hypocrisy of those political, miserly, and irritable mentalities that pose as soft on one hand, while raining down the hatred and anger they carry in their character and background on the other, is at a shameful level these days.
Those who cunningly provoke instead of smoothing over polarization, and those who vulgarly crown and approve hostility instead of wearing it down, are of course in a helpless and pathetic state that cannot escape the eyes and hearts of our nation.
Moreover, I state in the presence of God that those who attempt to question, judge, and terrorize our sacred cause and our community, which is a model of sacrifice and faith, by inciting sedition/corruption at the behest of enemies of the Turks will pay a very heavy price in the eyes of justice and the nation.
Defending our rights and our law is a matter of honor for us.
Neither our rights, nor our law, nor our honor will be compromised.
The treacherous traps of the devil wearing a Muslim robe in murky weather will be thwarted.
My wish and hope is that everyone will conduct a conscience check on the occasion of the holiday, address the issues on the agenda in an honest and sincere manner, and immediately return from the mistake of pushing our thresholds of patience and endurance.
Eid means peace, love, respect, remembrance, and brotherhood.
However, it is irrational for brotherhood or reconciliation to be one-sided.
Those who are determined to sabotage national reunion with political profiteering will not be allowed to do so.
I am of the opinion that during the holiday period, we collectively need to courageously evaluate and re-distinguish our inner worlds and the networks of contact and relationship we have established with our environment.
A permanent transition towards understanding rather than being understood, dialogue rather than imposition, embracing rather than polarizing, and consensus on will and future rather than conflict must be realized with firm and genuine steps.
However, this transition in question must be permanent and deep-rooted.
With the moral and spiritual richness of Eid al-Adha, we can open the paths to a brand-new reconciliation process and succeed together in reviving a strong period based on mutual respect and love.
It should be especially known that the more we can act in unity and solidarity, the stronger we will be.
Neutralizing the dark scenarios to which Turkey and the Turkish-Islamic civilization are exposed, and breaking and discarding the games played on us, depends first and foremost on the vast and historical resistance of our nation.
The Turkish nation, which is a big family from east to west, from north to south; has more than enough wisdom, ability, and capacity to prove that it is the axis of justice and fairness in every field and ground, and furthermore, to both friend and foe, with the consciousness of the holiday.
Turkey and the Turkish homeland is the earthly paradise of 85 million Turkish citizens.
The most effective answer to be given to all centers planning our separation, division, and falling out with each other is to show a stance as one voice, one breath, one heart, and one fist.
Because we are the children of a great nation that prays for the sacrifice slaughtered in Hakkari in Tekirdağ, receives the treat offered in Şırnak in Ankara, holds the hand extended in Istanbul in Batman, and wipes away the tears flowing in Yozgat in Mersin.
Every sacrifice slaughtered with a Basmala, every hand shaken, every face beaming with smiles, every reunion born with the dawn after nights of longing is the mortar of our unity and the dome of dignity of our togetherness.
I pray to Almighty God for the acceptance of our sacrifice worship.
I sincerely celebrate the blessed Eid al-Adha of our martyr families, our dear nation, and the Turkish-Islamic world.
I congratulate all fathers on "Father's Day" and offer my best wishes.
I take this opportunity to offer my respect and love to our dear citizens living at home and abroad, and I pray for the acceptance of the worship of all our brothers and sisters who are in the holy lands for the Hajj pilgrimage.
I especially request that our citizens who set out, go on vacation, or travel for the holiday on the occasion of the nine-day holiday strictly follow traffic rules so as not to risk their lives.
I say may our holiday be blessed, and may our state and nation exist forever.
I greet my dear citizens with respect and love."
