Did Feyzioğlu intentionally trigger the Özel crisis? 'He knew he was going to be removed'

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel attended the 50th-anniversary events of the Cyprus Peace Operation and expressed his discomfort for not being welcomed by embassy officials.

Halktv.com.tr columnist İsmail Saymaz, in his article where he asked, "Did Feyzioğlu trigger the crisis with Özel to avoid being removed from his post?", conveyed the rumors he received as follows:

'HE CREATED AN ARTIFICIAL CRISIS'

"Turkey's Nicosia Ambassador Metin Feyzioğlu was appointed to Prague after being reported to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by CHP leader Özgür Özel for 'not welcoming us'.

On the island, it is being said that 'Feyzioğlu knew he was going to be removed from his post. He created an artificial crisis with Özel to avoid being removed'.

It is stated that Feyzioğlu was removed from his post before his term expired.

Following Feyzioğlu, TRNC Security Forces Commander Major General Osman Aytaç was also removed before his term ended. İlker Görgülü was appointed in place of Aytaç.

AK Party's TRNC Representative Fahri Yönlüer was also removed, and Emre Kaya was brought in.

These three appointments are not being interpreted as a normal process.

It is alleged that Feyzioğlu, Aytaç, and Yönlüer were a team and acted together.

'HE TOOK SIDES IN DOMESTIC POLITICS'

Feyzioğlu grew close to the islanders, frequently made headlines with his private life, and entered into commercial relationships.

He interfered in the internal affairs of the TRNC and took sides in domestic politics.

Because the TRNC police are affiliated with the Security Forces Command appointed from Turkey, he used the judiciary as a stick with fake prescription and diploma investigations.

At the end of the day, it was reported to Erdoğan that 'Feyzioğlu and his team would harm the Cyprus cause. Feyzioğlu was actually going to be removed from his post on July 21. However, due to the tension he experienced with CHP leader Özel, even if he lost Nicosia, he gained Prague'."
