Vatan Party Chairman Doğu Perinçek drew a striking political picture for the coming years in a statement he made. Vatan Party Chairman Perinçek claimed that the Justice and Development Party (AK Party), the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), the "Kılıçdaroğlu-led CHP," and the Vatan Party could form a joint government.
Perinçek stated, "You will see that the AK Party, MHP, Kılıçdaroğlu's CHP, and the Vatan Party will form a joint government within the next few years. Because this is what everyone needs, and it is what Turkey needs. The AK Party can only remain in power if it forms this alliance."
"KILIÇDAROĞLU'S CHP HAS ABANDONED ITS ATLANTICIST LINE"
Perinçek argued that the MHP's foreign policy approach aligns with that of the Vatan Party. "The MHP is already in the same position as us by saying 'Turkey-Russia-China alliance' now," said Perinçek, adding, "After that, well, Kılıçdaroğlu's CHP has abandoned its Atlanticist line and is charting a course that is anti-imperialist and loyal to Atatürk, and so on. The Vatan Party is already there."
Stating that they are defending their own program, Perinçek said, "So what is it here? We are defending our own program. It is our duty to bring people and parties to that program. When it comes to duty, it is not right to say, 'No, I will continue to be hostile to you.'"
Expressing that some of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's policies should be supported, Perinçek said, "I mean, what is Tayyip Erdoğan today? For example, he is disrupting American plans in northern Syria. Right? We were saying that we should clear these PKK, YPG, and SDG elements from northern Syria."
Perinçek added, "Now, he is acting together with the Syrian administration to clear them. Are we going to oppose him there? For example."
"ARE WE GOING TO OPPOSE THE FIGHT AGAINST FETÖ AND THE PKK?"
Commenting on the fight against FETÖ and the PKK, Perinçek said, "Or, they are going after FETÖ. Are we going to oppose that? I mean, they have no program other than hostility toward Erdoğan."
