İYİ Party continues to face a wave of resignations, with Istanbul Deputy Ayşe Sibel Yanıkömeroğlu being the latest to step down.

Yanıkömeroğlu announced her resignation with the following words:

"I have resigned from my İYİ Party membership. I am saddened by the fact that we have been drifting away from our founding goals and principles for some time. As I have done until today, I will continue my work by prioritizing the interests of my country from now on."

WHAT HAPPENED?

CHP leader Özgür Özel had proposed a "cooperation" offer to Meral Akşener during his visit to the İYİ Party Headquarters, but the decision was rejected by the GİK (General Administrative Board).

İYİ Party Spokesperson Kürşad Zorlu had announced that the party would enter the local elections "free and independent."

Speaking at today's group meeting, İYİ Party leader Akşener likened the alliance to "mandate and tutelage."
