According to information reported by SÖZCÜ TV, İmamoğlu was called to the floor where he will give his statement in the 56th hour of his detention. IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu was taken into custody on the morning of March 19 as part of two separate investigations launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office for "corruption" and "terrorism" charges.

In a post he made this morning, İmamoğlu announced a 3rd investigation opened against him, saying, "An investigation has been opened against me for opening a nursery."
ÖZEL ANNOUNCED
CHP leader Özgür Özel, in a statement made following his meeting with DISK President Arzu Çerkezoğlu, said, "About half an hour ago, İmamoğlu was called and told that they would begin the statement process shortly. Presumably, at these minutes or in the coming minutes, the police statement process will have begun."
