Ekrem İmamoğlu or Murat Kurum? 'Gap' emerges in poll by company close to the government

Striking results have emerged from the Istanbul poll conducted by Optimar Research, a company close to the government.

Optimar Research President Hilmi Daşdemir shared the results of his second poll regarding the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality election.

In a broadcast on his personal YouTube channel, Daşdemir showed that Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu is ahead of AKP's Istanbul candidate Murat Kurum.

When participants in the poll were asked, "Who will win the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality election in the March 31 local elections?", those who answered "Ekrem İmamoğlu" stood at 44.3 points. Those who answered "Murat Kurum" remained at 36.5 points. 

While undecided voters were at 9.7, those who said "I have no opinion" were recorded at 8.3 points.

The poll also included the rates of votes İmamoğlu receives from various parties.

The political party voters who said they would vote for Ekrem İmamoğlu are as follows:

AKP: 9.4

CHP: 88.4

MHP: 12.4

İYİ Party: 76.2

DEM Party: 56.7

New Welfare Party: 7.1

Victory Party: 35.5

Workers' Party of Turkey: 85.2

Great Unity Party: 7.1

Homeland Party: 31.8
