Ekrem İmamoğlu's 'Paris' response: 'Until they are sent from where they stand...'

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu responded to criticisms regarding his attendance at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris during a groundbreaking ceremony held by the İBB subsidiary İstanbul Konut İmar Plan Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (KİPTAŞ) in Kartal.

'THERE IS NO ISSUE WE CANNOT ACCOUNT FOR'

İmamoğlu stated the following:

"While we were there to promote and represent Istanbul, we were faced with slanders here regarding what we did minute by minute. These words have no validity.

We were in Paris for 4 days. We watched the Olympic Games. While we were there to promote and represent Istanbul, we were faced with slanders here regarding what we did minute by minute. These words have no validity.

We know what we are doing there, and we know what we are doing here. We will continue to tell the truth until our nation gives the necessary lesson to those who use this dirty language and sends them from where they stand. We are focused on our work. There is no issue we cannot account for."
