The final Central Decision and Executive Board (MKYK) meeting of the year, chaired by AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, lasted approximately two hours. The meeting addressed organizational work, the upcoming election process, and current political developments.

“2026 IS CRITICAL IN TERMS OF ELECTIONS”

According to information reported in media outlets close to the government, Erdoğan drew attention to election preparations during his speech at the meeting. It was reported that Erdoğan stated, “The year 2026 covers a critical period in terms of our preparations for the upcoming elections. We want to enter 2027 very strongly. We must increase our efforts accordingly.”

INSTRUCTIONS FOR INTENSIVE WORK TO ORGANIZATIONS

It was noted that Erdoğan placed special emphasis on organizational work in his speech. Referring to the “Three Holy Months” that began on Sunday, December 21, and the approaching month of Ramadan, it was stated that Erdoğan instructed party members to “utilize every day in the most efficient way possible.”

The meeting also included evaluations regarding the process being carried out under the heading of a “Terror-Free Turkey.” It was reported that Erdoğan emphasized that the process must be handled with sensitivity and used the following expressions:

“We will explain the process using a language that encompasses all 86 million people, without engaging in micro-politics or regionalism. We must act meticulously to ensure that no breaches are opened in the walls of our party and our government.”

EARLY ELECTION CALL TO ERDOĞAN FROM ÖZGÜR ÖZEL

Meanwhile, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel made statements regarding President Erdoğan during a live broadcast on TELE1 this morning. Addressing Erdoğan, Özel used the following expressions:

“Come on, show some Kasımpaşa spirit. I am telling you, ‘The nation does not want you. Even if there is an early election, you have the opportunity to come and be a candidate. Don’t run away, come.’ They say, ‘Whenever you want.’ ‘It cannot be in the snow and winter.’ Fine, let the election be in March. Let’s see who this nation wants and who it does not.”
