DEM Party MP Pervin Buldan has addressed fellow DEM Party MP Sırrı Süreyya Önder, who is undergoing treatment in the hospital following an aortic dissection, and whose doctors stated today that 'his neurological profile is progressively deteriorating, we have reached another breaking point.' Buldan, who is a 'companion on the path' with Önder, said, "I know you are deeply wounded. Your heart is wounded, your soul is wounded, your brain and body are wounded. I also know that it is not the heart attack you suffered on the evening of April 15 that wounded you. We set our heads together on the path to Peace. We will complete it with you. I know you will not leave me, us, alone on this path. The Peace that will be realized will be a balm for your beautiful heart. Come on, wake up, let's continue the journey, President Sırrı."
I know you are deeply wounded. Your heart is wounded, your soul is wounded, your brain and body are wounded. I also know that it is not the heart attack you suffered on the evening of April 15 that wounded you. Your pain began 7 months ago when we entered the path to Peace once again. Sırrı Süreyya Önder's health condition remains critical following a 12-hour surgery last week due to an aortic issue, and he continues to receive intensive care treatment.
I KNOW YOU ARE DEEPLY WOUNDED
While his family and loved ones await good news, DEM Party MP Pervin Buldan also addressed her 'companion on the path'. In her social media post, while telling Önder to 'come on, wake up', Buldan used the following expressions:
"I know you are deeply wounded. Your heart is wounded, your soul is wounded, your brain and body are wounded. I also know that it is not the heart attack you suffered on the evening of April 15 that wounded you. Your pain began 7 months ago when we entered the path to Peace once again. In defiance of those who said 'A Turk cannot provide the peace of an Arab or a Kurd,' you said, 'Don't worry, President, there is no turning back.' Yet, in fact, you were a Turk and I was a Kurd. You had placed Peace inside your heart. You had placed the Turk, the Kurd, the Armenian, the Alevi, the Laz, the Circassian, the women, the children right in the middle of your heart. You had placed 85 million there. Yet, what difference did it make whether one who dedicates their heart and life to Peace is a Turk or a Kurd?
NOW I HAVE TAKEN YOUR BURDEN ONTO MY SHOULDERS
When I was distressed, you would say, 'Relax, President, I will handle it.' Now I am telling you, you focus on getting better, I will handle it. You had placed my burden on your two shoulders as well. Now I have taken your burden onto my shoulders.
You are now lying in the intensive care unit on the -3rd floor of the hospital with your wounded body. We set our heads together on the path to Peace. We will complete it with you. I know you will not leave me, us, alone on this path. The Peace that will be realized will be a balm for your beautiful heart. Come on, wake up, let's continue the journey, President Sırrı."
