Erbakan slams the government from Van: Trade with Israel is still ongoing

YRP Chairman Fatih Erbakan attended his party's rally held at Beşyol Square in Van. Speaking there, Erbakan also recalled the trade between Turkey and Israel, stating, "Those barbed wires that prevent our Muslim brothers from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque are going from Turkey, from Turkey. For God's sake, can such a disgrace exist?"

In Van, they haven't even been able to pour the simplest asphalt or build a ring road for 20 years. Transportation is problematic. Unemployment has gone through the roof. It has been neglected and left behind."

Explaining that citizens ask about Gaza everywhere they go, Erbakan spoke as follows:

"Everywhere we go, this noble nation asks us about Gaza. They say, 'Mr. Chairman, we cannot sleep at night. It touches our conscience. Are we as a state and as a nation this helpless? Where is the regional power we claimed to be? Trade with Israel is still continuing from Turkey, exports are still continuing. Ships from Turkey's ports continue to carry steel, spare parts, cement, barbed wire, and fertilizer to Israel.'

Does it suit us? We are the grandchildren of the Ottomans who brought justice to the world for 6 centuries and eradicated oppression in the world. Does it suit us to do this trade with the cruel, murderous Zionists? Is it left to us?

"THOSE BARBED WIRES ARE GOING FROM TURKEY"

Since October 7, 8 million liras worth of barbed wire has been exported from Turkey to Israel. What do the newspapers and TRT Haber reports say? They say, 'Israel is surrounding Al-Aqsa Mosque with barbed wire so that Muslims cannot enter Al-Aqsa during Ramadan.' Those barbed wires that prevent our Muslim brothers from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque are going from Turkey, from Turkey. For God's sake, can such a disgrace exist?

Put an end to this shame. Cut off trade with Israel. Stop the exports. Close our ports and airspace to Israel. Recall our ambassador in Tel Aviv.

Erbakan also recalled that AKP members are pressuring them to withdraw their candidates. Erbakan said the following:

"Are you going to withdraw your candidates in some places close to the election? What nonsense. They have no material left in their hands, they cannot explain anything to the nation, they cannot get support from the nation, they cannot get votes from the nation; wherever they go, retirees, civil servants, workers, and farmers show their reaction. They look at the polls. The votes are melting like a snowball.

They come and say the New Welfare candidate should withdraw and support us. What nonsense. Everyone will work, everyone will explain themselves to the nation, they will enter a race of service, and our nation will choose whoever it wants with its free will. No one is obliged to make anyone win or lose. Everyone will come with their own strength."
