COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR ALTUN HAD ANNOUNCED IT
Communications Director Fahrettin Altun had announced that Erdoğan would meet with MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli today at 16:00.
In a post on his social media account, Altun had stated that the meeting would take place at the Palace.
5 DAYS BEFORE THE SİNAN ATEŞ TRIAL
On the other hand, it is noteworthy that the meeting is taking place 5 days before the Sinan Ateş murder trial.
TRIAL BEGINS ON JULY 1
The first hearing, in which 22 defendants will be tried according to the indictment prepared after the murder and accepted by the Ankara 32nd High Criminal Court, will be held on July 1. The defendants will be tried on charges of “premeditated murder,” “attempted murder,” “incitement to commit a crime,” and “aiding and abetting a crime.”
The indictment includes the names and charges of the 22 people arrested to date in connection with the murder. Furthermore, it was stated that Eray Özyağcı, Vedat Balkaya, and Suat Kurt, identified as the perpetrators of the incident, acted in concert to carry out the murder, while Doğukan Çep and Tolgahan Demirbaş were identified as the instigators.
