Erdoğan commemorates Alija Izetbegović on his social media account

President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan commemorated Alija Izetbegović via his social media account.

Erdoğan stated the following:

"I commemorate with longing and mercy, on the anniversary of his passing, the first President of friendly and brotherly Bosnia and Herzegovina, Alija Izetbegović, a wise leader and an exceptional person of heart who carried not only Bosnia but the entire Islamic world in his heart, with his nobility, courage, and stance."
