Erdoğan did not answer either of those two questions: 'We have said what needed to be said'

President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was asked several questions by journalists following his party's group meeting held at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).

Journalists reminded Erdoğan of his "good news" announcement for retirees during his speech at the group meeting.

"WE HAVE SAID WHAT NEEDED TO BE SAID, MAY IT BE AUSPICIOUS"

One journalist stated that retirees had expectations for an increase in holiday bonuses following the aforementioned announcement.

Upon this question, Erdoğan replied, "We have said what needed to be said, may it be auspicious."

BAHÇELİ'S CALL WAS ASKED

Erdoğan was then reminded of the call made by his People's Alliance partner, Devlet Bahçeli, for the trial concerning the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) to be broadcast live on TRT.

It was noted that this was the third time Bahçeli had made this call, and Erdoğan's assessment was requested.

HE DID NOT ANSWER THE QUESTION

President Erdoğan did not provide any response to this question.

It was observed that after the question, Erdoğan turned around and left the area.

WHAT DID ERDOĞAN SAY REGARDING RETIREES? 

President Erdoğan had used the following expressions in his statement regarding retirees at his party's group meeting:

"Finally, I would like to give some good news to our retirees. As in every year, we are depositing our retirees' holiday bonuses into their accounts before the holiday. Furthermore, we are moving up the pension payments for our retirees this month and will begin payments starting March 14. I wish it to be auspicious and beneficial. With these thoughts, I wish each of you success and ease in your parliamentary work, may God grant it."
