Erdoğan holds talks with Swedish Prime Minister Kristersson

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone call with Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson.

During the meeting, Sweden's NATO membership process, the fight against terrorism, Turkey-Sweden relations, and regional and global issues were discussed. 

AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan stated that he believes Sweden will fulfill its obligations arising from the tripartite memorandum in accordance with the spirit of alliance following the realization of Turkey's NATO membership. 

Erdoğan said that the two countries should initiate the Security Cooperation Mechanism and that it is important for Sweden to provide the necessary support to Turkey in the fight against terrorism.
