Responding to questions from journalists following the AKP election coordination meeting, President Tayyip Erdoğan reacted to a question from A Haber reporter Rüya Akkuş regarding the New Welfare Party (Yeniden Refah Partisi) with the words, "Rüya, pull yourself together."

A Haber reporter Rüya Akkuş asked about the possibility of an alliance with the New Welfare Party, to which Erdoğan replied, "You already know the stance of the New Welfare Party. They have currently broken away from their position during the parliamentary elections. In the local elections, they are either showing their own candidates or are those who have broken away from us in many places."

Following this response, Akkuş reminded him, "You used the term 'circus acrobat' at the podium." After this reminder, Erdoğan scolded Rüya Akkuş, saying, "I did not mention their name. Rüya, pull yourself together..."
