Erdoğan signaled the 'absolute nullity' 40 days in advance! That speech is back on the agenda

Following the "absolute nullity" ruling regarding the cancellation of the CHP's 38th Ordinary Congress, a notable post has become a topic of discussion once again in the political arena.

The statements made by President and AK Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on April 13, 2025, have returned to the agenda because they were made approximately 40 days before the court ruling.

Many users on social media have opened a debate on whether the assessments Erdoğan made at that time were a "pre-delivered message regarding the process."

THE "PURIFICATION" CALL IS BACK ON THE AGENDA

In his post on April 13, President Erdoğan used striking expressions directed at CHP Chairman Özgür Özel.

In his statement, Erdoğan indicated that the CHP leadership should deal with "scandals of corruption, bribery, extortion, and harassment," and called for the establishment of a "department for purification from corruption" within the party structure.

President Erdoğan also recalled the "purification" advice previously given by former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu alongside this call.

The most debated part of Erdoğan's post was his assessment regarding the CHP.

In his statement, President Erdoğan said, "We believe that in the coming period, Turkish democracy will hopefully attain a main opposition with the maturity, quality, and vision it deserves."

ERDOĞAN'S APRIL 13 POST

President Erdoğan had used the following expressions in his post:

"If the CHP Chairman truly wants to be of benefit to the nation and to women, he should stop fussing over ministry names. Instead, he should busy himself with the scandals of corruption, bribery, extortion, and harassment that wrap around his party like a cancer cell.

If he absolutely wants to establish a structure, provided he can find enough staff, he should urgently establish a 'department for purification from corruption' within his party. Thus, he would both follow the purification advice of his predecessor Kılıçdaroğlu and provide a service to the citizens.

But unfortunately, the main opposition party of this country cannot seem to get out from under the influence of criminal organizations established for profit, and cannot seem to save itself.

To tell the truth, we feel sorrow on behalf of our country's politics for the wretched state the CHP, which boasts of being 'the party founded by Gazi Mustafa Kemal,' has been reduced to under its current management.

We believe that in the coming period, Turkish democracy will hopefully attain a main opposition with the maturity, quality, and vision it deserves."
