President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan sent a video message to the 23rd İmam Hatip Graduates Congress, organized this year in Trabzon by the ÖNDER İmam Hatip Alumni Association.

In his message, Erdoğan stated that İmam Hatip schools continue their path by "constantly raising the bar of success." He noted that İmam Hatip graduates are serving in various fields, from the defense industry to bureaucracy, from academia to politics, and from the private sector to civil society.

HE MADE A REFERENCE TO DEĞİRMENCİ

In his speech, Erdoğan also included Ahmet Burak Değirmenci, the top graduate of the National Defense University Military Academy. Değirmenci, a graduate of the Amasya Türk Telekom Anatolian İmam Hatip High School, had recently received his diploma from Erdoğan's hands.

We have once again proudly witnessed what İmam Hatip graduates can achieve when the artificial obstacles before them are removed, most recently at the graduation ceremony of our military academies.

— Recep Tayyip Erdoğan

Another name highlighted in Erdoğan's message was Sercan Özdemir, who finished the Air Force Academy in second place. Özdemir, a graduate of the International Murad Hüdavendigar Anatolian İmam Hatip High School in Bursa, received his diploma from the hands of Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş.
