Erdoğan's first directive after AKP MKYK meeting

The directive given by AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to his staff following his party's Central Decision and Executive Board (MKYK) meeting has been revealed. It was learned that Erdoğan, who wants everyone to be on the ground during his party's congress process, said, "Get out into the field, work hard. Find good people who will contribute to our party."

The congress calendar was determined at the AKP's Central Decision and Executive Board (MKYK) meeting.

AKP Spokesperson Ömer Çelik, in his statement following the MKYK meeting, had used the expressions, “It is expected that town and district congresses will be held between October 2024 and January 2025, provincial congresses will be held between December 2024 and March 2025, and this entire schedule will be completed towards the end of March.”

Çelik had stated that the grand congress would take place after this schedule is completed by the end of March.

According to the report by the Türkiye newspaper, known for its proximity to the government, AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's directive to his staff regarding the congress process to be carried out in provinces, districts, and towns has been obtained.

It was learned that Erdoğan said, “Get out into the field, work very hard. Find good people who will contribute to our party.”

ERDOĞAN TO VISIT 20 CITIES

On the other hand, AKP Deputy Chairman Erkan Kandemir said that preparations for the 8th Grand Ordinary Congress have begun with the decision taken at the MKYK.

Stating, “We want to achieve not just a change in personnel, but also a change in understanding and perspective through our congresses. We will manage the processes through broad consultation,” Kandemir added, “Our President specifically wants to attend the congresses of metropolitan cities and tour Anatolia through these congresses. We will likely host our President at 20 of our metropolitan congresses.”
