Erdoğan's reaction to US Congress over Netanyahu: 'The murderer is being applauded'

President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke at the HIT-30 High Technology Investment Program Promotion Meeting.

CRITICISM OF NETANYAHU TO THE US

Highlights from Erdoğan's statements are as follows:

I am very pleased to be with you at the HIT-30 High Technology Investment Program Promotion Meeting. Right at the beginning of my words, I would like to thank all our industrialists and entrepreneurs who contribute to the Turkish economy and produce added value with their investments in manufacturing, employment, exports, trade, and advanced technology. We have just presented awards to our brothers and sisters who have written success stories in various sectors. We personally expressed our gratitude to our companies that are leaders in their sectors in a very wide range from the defense industry to automotive, from aviation to unmanned systems, and from chemistry to solar energy cells. I congratulate each of our firms, which are the best indicators of the richness of Turkey's technology ecosystem, with all my heart. No one will ever be able to separate us from you. We will never give an opportunity to those who are hostile to capital. Today's meeting is a new symbol of this will of ours. I wish our program to be beneficial. Especially in the great transformation process that our world is going through, these steps taken by foreseeing the future are very important for Turkey's goals.

The whole world watched and saw how a genocidal murderer was applauded in the US Congress. Who is applauded? Those who serve humanity are applauded. The House of Representatives is applauding those who have massacred nearly 40 thousand people. Apart from this, the exact opposite attitude is being displayed towards them. This shows where the world is heading. Since October 7, people have been watching children and women being killed as if they were watching a movie. Netanyahu, who is the murderer of these people, is being applauded in the US. What kind of business is this? What about democracy, freedom, human rights? There is no justice, no law, no rules, no mercy, no compassion, no conscience, and no responsibility taken for peace. We are all witnessing a state of madness where the oppressor is practically held in high regard because of their oppression. Those who give the floor to the butcher of Gaza are experiencing a mental blackout.

TOGG IS NOW ON THE ROADS

Of course, we were shaken, we experienced troubles and difficulties, and we had to make sacrifices, but no matter what the conditions were, we never broke away from our goals, and we are not breaking away. The latest data shows that we are on the right track. Hopefully, it will be much better. We are striving to carry the momentum we have achieved in our defense industry to other areas as well. TOGG is now on the roads. Despite those who said, "You cannot do it, even if you do, you cannot sell it," we reached our goal. The will we showed in TOGG has also become a source of inspiration for other sectors. We aim to make the Century of Turkey the century of investment as well.

The Turkish economy is shedding its skin. Our business world should know this very well; hopefully, at the end of this process, our economy will rise to a different league.

We are putting the international direct investment strategy into practice soon. With our strategy covering the years 2024-2028, we want to attract more high-technology-focused investments to our country. Applications have been made for 238 projects with a total investment size reaching 1 trillion 258 billion TL. In the coming period, we will add 4 new model factories, increasing the number to 14. We have provided a total of 750 million dollars in financing to our industrialists, SMEs, and green technology initiatives. We continue to support critical technologies that will strengthen our economic and technological independence.
