Erdoğan's statement on local elections: 'The People's Alliance will cause them a frustration they do not expect'

President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made statements following Friday prayers.

Touching upon his party's local election efforts, Erdoğan said, "We believe that the People's Alliance will cause those on the other side a frustration they do not expect."

Highlights from Erdoğan's statements are as follows:

On Sunday, we will announce the remaining provinces, starting with Ankara.

Our colleagues are making preliminary announcements. On Sunday, we will likely announce our remaining metropolitan cities and provinces at the ATO Congress Hall, with Ankara as the center.

Today, we will continue our work regarding Istanbul and its surroundings at our provincial headquarters.

When asked about his meeting with MHP leader Bahçeli, Erdoğan stated the following:

Our colleagues are continuing their work; we have held discussions with Mr. Devlet on this basis regarding the point they have reached.

We believe that the People's Alliance will cause those on the other side a frustration they do not expect.

US STRIKES ON THE HOUTHIS

Regarding US President Joe Biden's air operations against the Houthis in the Red Sea, Erdoğan also said, "There is no proportionate action here. It is an excessive use of force. They are eager to turn the Red Sea into a bloodbath. The Houthis are putting up a successful defense against the US and the UK."

Erdoğan also made statements regarding Israel being tried in The Hague following the 'genocide' case filed by the Republic of South Africa:

"As of now, they have started to present their defense, but all the documents we have provided are having a significant impact in The Hague. We expect that Israel will be convicted with these documents we have submitted, which also include visual evidence. They have turned the region into a bloodbath against Palestine. Netanyahu has no hole to hide in, no means to defend himself. Herzog has also emulated Netanyahu and is making different statements."
