Explosive remarks from Özgür Özel to AKP's Karaismailoğlu! 'The trustee apprentice was left out in the cold'

Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel arrived in Trabzon for a series of visits and meetings. Meeting with party members at a hotel in the morning, Özel held a meeting with district chairs.

Speaking to journalists after the meeting, Özel said, "I am saddened that I could not attend the funeral of someone who was like a mother to me, whose collard greens soup I drank in Çarşıbaşı every time I came here, and whom I visited in the hospital during my last visit. Because that day, we were hosting associations of our martyrs' and veterans' families from across Turkey in Ankara. That is why I could not come here."

Today, we will pay a condolence visit to Sabih Tekin Çağlar, and we will also meet with our other municipalities and party members that we could not visit during our previous trip. We will evaluate the critical process we are in, both in terms of Trabzon and in general," he stated.

In the continuation of his speech, Özel also responded to the words of AKP Trabzon deputy Adil Karaismailoğlu, who had said regarding him, "Özgür Özel has acted with rudeness in a language that suits him but does not suit the CHP. Those who embezzle the nation's trust will pay the price in this world and the next."

"THE TRUSTEE APPRENTICE WAS LEFT OUT IN THE COLD"

Stating that the AKP was considering appointing Adil Karaismailoğlu as a trustee to the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB), Özel said, "Turkey already learned this from the local press in Trabzon. He had the local press in Trabzon report that Adil Karaismailoğlu was being appointed as a trustee to the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. But the nation said, 'Wait a minute, apprentice of coup plotters, how will you come to a place you were not elected to?' Millions repelled the coup, and the trustee apprentice was left out in the cold. He shamelessly used these expressions. If we descend to the level of the trustee apprentice, we will get the bends on the way up, so we are not responding," he said.

The AK Party has won for 23 years, but they never said 'they won, but let us govern.' In fact, when FETÖ, with whom they were once inseparable, attempted a coup, we stood against FETÖ. For the first time in 23 years, the AK Party has become the second party in Turkey. Ekrem İmamoğlu has won Istanbul three times. They couldn't stomach it when he first won, so we won again, and this time we won by a margin of over 1 million votes.
