Fatih Erbakan gives Erdoğan a deadline: Notable early election call

Yeniden Refah Party (YRP) Chairman Fatih Erbakan attended his party's 3rd Ordinary Congress in Malatya and made significant statements. In his speech, Erbakan criticized the current situation in Turkey and called for an early election.
"THINGS ARE NOT GOING WELL, AN EARLY ELECTION IS ESSENTIAL"
Erbakan stated that despite having supported President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in the last general elections, economic and social conditions in Turkey are not improving. Erbakan said, "Things are not going well in Turkey, and they are not getting any better. We are calling out to the government from here; the thing to do is to bring the early election ballot box before this nation in the spring of 2026. The most beneficial thing you can do is to bring the early election ballot box."
Stating that 2.5 years have passed since the February 6 earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş and that the wounds have still not been healed as they should be, Erbakan said, "The situation after the earthquake is quite dire. Despite 2.5 years having passed, unfortunately, the necessary steps have not been taken."
POVERTY LINE IS 90 THOUSAND LIRA, MINIMUM WAGE IS 22 THOUSAND LIRA
Drawing attention to economic difficulties, Erbakan emphasized that the poverty line has risen to 90 thousand lira, while the minimum wage is only 22 thousand lira. Expressing that Turkey is not managing the economic picture well enough, Erbakan said that when the AKP came to power in 2002, the nation's debt to banks was 6.6 billion lira, but today that debt has increased by exactly 800 times.
"THEY LEFT NO TRACE OF JUSTICE"
Criticizing the AKP's 23-year rule, Erbakan stated that justice and public welfare have not been achieved, and that there have been serious shortcomings in state governance in recent years. Erbakan said, "In 23 years, they have left no trace of justice in Turkey. When they came to power in 2002, the public's debt to banks was 6.6 billion lira; now that debt has increased 800-fold," he said.
