Fatih Erbakan triples poll results, announces vote share

Visiting Denizli as part of his local election campaign, New Welfare Party Chairman Fatih Erbakan attended an iftar program organized by his party in the Acıpayam district. 

Later attending a candidate introduction meeting held in the Beyağaç district, Erbakan addressed a crowd of hundreds gathered in front of the election coordination center of the New Welfare Party's Beyağaç mayoral candidate, Sezayi Pütün, despite the cold weather.

Speaking at the opening of the candidate introduction meeting, Mayoral Candidate Sezayi Pütün said, "We are here today to explain the projects we have prepared for the concrete steps to be taken to realize the dreams set forth for our society to achieve prosperity. We have gathered here today to take an important step for our future. We are determined to work together for the welfare of our people. In the March 31 elections, we will start the march to power of our party, the New Welfare Party, from Beyağaç. In 2028, we will lead it to power, starting again from Beyağaç, and have our Chairman elected President," he said.

"WE WILL TRIPLE OUR VOTE AND REACH 20 PERCENT"

Starting his speech by saying, "With this meeting held despite the cold weather, we will plant the flag of the National View (Milli Görüş) in Beyağaç, God willing," New Welfare Party Chairman Fatih Erbakan said, "The wind of our New Welfare Party is being felt most strongly in every corner of Turkey.

Political scientists, the press, and the media are talking about the New Welfare Party everywhere. The point they all agree on is that 'The only party that will increase its vote in these elections is the New Welfare Party.' It is extremely important that others are saying this, rather than us saying it ourselves. In the last elections, they weren't even showing us at 1 percent. They were showing us within the 'others' category, yet we received nearly 3 percent of the vote.

Now, since the same polls show 6-7 percent, we will again triple it and receive 20 percent of the vote, God willing. This yeast has taken hold, God willing. The National View is coming, the New Welfare is coming, let there be good news. We have set out to start the era of ethical municipalism in Beyağaç, in Denizli, and throughout Turkey. Ethical municipalism means National View municipalism. The right address for a fair, ethical, sincere, honest, determined, and hardworking mayor is the National View and the New Welfare," he said.

"WE WILL REVIVE THE SPIRIT OF '94"

Giving examples of the work done by the municipalities of Sivas, Çorum, Konya, Samsun, and Kütahya, which were elected in the 1989 and 1994 elections, Erbakan said:

“In the era of ethical municipalism, municipalities will be fair. When there is no National View in municipalities, unfortunately, there is debt, there is interest, and there is no abundance. Ethical municipalism means competence and merit. It is not about 'let's give the job to our crony, our relative, our friend in our organization, let's bring them to the job,' but rather, whoever deserves it, whoever is competent—not the one who has an uncle or influence—will come and get the job. Ethical municipalism means compassion; it means feeling the pain of the nation, it means 'the nation first.' Our teacher Erbakan shed tears for the troubles of the nation on television and in programs. The ethical municipalism of the National View also means 'morality and spirituality first.' 

Now, we will revive this spirit with ethical municipalism. We will revive the spirit of '94, God willing. New Welfare Party mayors are coming not to take, but to give. This is a very beautiful sentence that summarizes our stance. We are coming not to take, but to give. We are coming with this spirit, with this understanding. We are coming with the spirit of '94, with the spirit of the National View. There is a very simple, fundamental difference between rent-seeking municipalism and ethical municipalism. A rent-seeking mayor sees the office as a place of business to enrich himself and his relatives. 

In ethical municipalism, the office of mayor is a place of worship where one earns the pleasure of God by being a remedy for the troubles of the nation. That is the difference; one does it as a business, the other does it as an act of worship. Can you imagine the magnitude of the reward a mayor will receive from these services performed honestly and ethically over 5 years? Our candidates are setting out by calculating this reward. Not for position and numbers, not for tenders and seats, not for fame, but for the sake of God, cadres who do politics will come and start the era of ethical municipalism, God willing.”

“THEY WILL CHANGE THE FACE OF OUR DISTRICTS"

Pointing out that the nation knows the National View very well, Erbakan concluded his speech with the following statements:

“When National View municipalities were doing these services, writing history, and writing epics in '89 and '94, was the Welfare Party in power? No; there was ANAP, DYP, and SHP. Despite this, the Welfare Party municipalities performed those legendary services. They broke new ground, paid off the debts of all municipalities, and put money back into their coffers. This nation knows very well how the National View municipalities in '89 and '94 brought to life the saying, 'Faith can milk a billy goat.' 

God willing, the same will happen again. Our National View mayors will say 'Bismillah' (in the name of God), roll up their sleeves, and say 'If there is faith, there is a way,' and God willing, they will change the face of our cities and districts. Just like in '94. 

May God make these efforts of ours a means for the victory of the National View, for its power in local governments on March 31, and for its power in the 2028 Presidential Election. May it thus be a means for the salvation of our nation, of all the oppressed, of Gaza, Arakan, East Turkestan, and Kashmir. May it be a means for the start of ethical municipalism in Beyağaç, Denizli, and throughout Turkey after April 1.”
