Fatih Erbakan's first statement on 'support for Murat Kurum' remarks: 'He has no authority to make such a decision'

Yeniden Refah Party Chairman Fatih Erbakan continues his campaign efforts for the March 31 Local Administration Elections.

Visiting the Sincan district of Ankara, Erbakan toured the Ottoman Market area. Erbakan was accompanied by his party's Ankara Metropolitan Municipality candidate, Suat Kılıç.

"HE HAS NO AUTHORITY TO MAKE SUCH A DECISION"

In his speech there, Erbakan commented on Yeniden Refah Party MKYK Member Abdurrahman Akyüz, who had suggested that support should be given to the People's Alliance (Cumhur İttifakı) Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality candidate Murat Kurum and who is now facing a disciplinary investigation as a result:

“He is an MKYK member and has no authority to comment on such a matter or make such a decision. Following his statements, our headquarters made the necessary clarifications. Our candidate in Istanbul is Mehmet Altınöz, and there is absolutely no question of withdrawing.”

"WE HAVE SURPASSED 500 THOUSAND"

Stating that they aim to increase their party's base, Erbakan said, “We are doing our best to reach voters, increase our vote share, and grow our membership numbers.

We see in the squares that our nation has shown great interest in this regard. We see it both in the polls and in our membership numbers.

We had set a goal to reach 500 thousand by election day, but we surpassed 500 thousand a week before the election even arrived. If we continue at this pace, hopefully, we will reach one million within a few months,” he said.

"THE NATIONAL VIEW (MİLLİ GÖRÜŞ) MUST COME TO POWER IN 2028"

Explaining his party's goals, Erbakan noted:

“Our goal is to be in power in local governments on March 31, and then to bring the National View (Milli Görüş) and the Yeniden Refah Party to power in the 2028 elections, so that we can save our people who are overwhelmed by the economic crisis, injustice, and the struggle to make a living.

Let us save those who are suffering and being oppressed in Gaza, East Turkestan, Arakan, Yemen, and Palestine.

Let us bring a livable Turkey and a great Turkey to life, and of course, let us establish a just world. For these to happen, the National View must come to power in 2028.”

"IT IS INCONCEIVABLE THAT WE ARE TRADING WITH THE ZIONIST REGIME"

Addressing the exports and commercial relations of Turkish companies with Israel, Erbakan said, “As the grandchildren of ancestors who established justice all over the world for 6 centuries, it is truly inconceivable that we are sending these products to the murderous Zionist regime and engaging in trade today.

This mistake, this shame, and this disaster must be reversed immediately, and this trade and export must be stopped as soon as possible.

If this does not happen, those in power will not be able to escape the sighs of the oppressed here, nor the burden of this matter, neither in this world nor in the hereafter,” he stated.
