Yeniden Refah Party (YRP) Chairman Fatih Erbakan made statements regarding the Ministry of Trade's decision to restrict exports to Israel on 54 product categories.

Erbakan attacked the government, stating that the decision was 'an extremely late decision taken after nearly 35 thousand innocent people were massacred.'

"THE SCALE OF THE TRADE CONDUCTED WITH THE CHILD-KILLER..."

YRP Chairman Fatih Erbakan noted the following in a written statement on his X account:

''The imposition of restrictions on 54 items shipped from Turkey to Israel, primarily 'Aviation Gasoline and Jet Fuel,' in the face of the genocide occurring in Gaza since October 7, 2023, has clearly revealed the scale of the trade conducted with the child-killer Zionist regime to date and the gravity of the situation.

It has been seen how justified our noble nation is in its sensitivity regarding this issue. In particular, the fact that 'Aviation Gasoline and Jet Fuel,' which is highly likely to have been used in the Gaza massacres, was sent from Turkey is a complete disaster. On the other hand, this decision is an extremely late decision taken after 35 thousand innocent people were massacred.

"TRADE WITH ISRAEL MUST NOT BE PERMITTED"

The government should not be content with just these 54 announced items; it must urgently take preventive measures to impose restrictions on Israel in all other commercial areas, close the Malatya Kürecik Radar Base, which was established to protect Israel against missile attacks, and stop any potential shipment of weapons and ammunition to Israel via the Incirlik Base.

Furthermore, by taking the necessary precautions against other countries likely to make shipments to Israel via Turkey, trade with Israel must not be permitted through all our airspace, highways, and seas.

"ERDOĞAN MUST RETURN THESE DUTIES AS SOON AS POSSIBLE"

An urgent extraordinary meeting should be held with the D-8 countries under Turkey's leadership to ensure that comprehensive preventive measures are taken against Israel. Along with all of this, it is also our nation's desire that President Erdoğan, who assumed the duties of co-chairing the 'Democracy Assistance Dialogue' and acting as the spokesperson for the 'Moderate Islam' concept, which the US put forward within the scope of the 'Greater Middle East' project at the G-8 summit held in the US state of Georgia in June 2004, return these duties as soon as possible.”
