Yavuz Ağıralioğlu, who announced that he would not vote for Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu by opposing his candidacy as the joint presidential candidate of the Nation Alliance in the May 14-28 elections, had resigned from the İYİ Party, of which he had been a member for 5 years, on March 28, 2023.
Ağıralioğlu, who announced that he would form a party before the March 31 Local Elections, began preparations following the elections.
Stating that the party's headquarters building has been rented, Ağıralioğlu said, “We will not proceed in politics based on hostility.”
According to the report by Merve Kılıç from Cumhuriyet; Ağıralioğlu stated, “We will be adversaries of the country's problems, not of parties or people. Work such as the charter and program will be carried out. Consultations are being held. Then, provincial screenings will begin. The physical infrastructure is nearing completion.”
THE PRESIDENTIAL SYSTEM IS A GREAT BURDEN
Noting that the partisan presidential system is a great burden on the country, Ağıralioğlu used the expressions, “It broke the working mechanism. Peace cannot be found in countries where partisanship is brought to the fore.”
