First crack in the People's Alliance after Bahçeli's Öcalan call: 'Did we ask the families of our martyrs?'
MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli made a call to PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan during his party's group meeting. The first response to Bahçeli's call, "Let the terrorist leader come and speak in the TBMM," came from the BBP. BBP Chairman Mustafa Destici said, "In whose name are we going to do this reconciliation, solution process, or making peace? We have thousands of martyrs. Did we ask the families of our martyrs?"

The Great Unity Party (BBP), one of the partners of the People's Alliance, has shown a harsh reaction to the Imralı remarks made by MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, a partner in the alliance.
While MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli's call, "Let the terrorist leader come and speak in the TBMM," continues to occupy the agenda, a response came from the BBP with a video published under the title, "Just as we strongly opposed the first 'Solution Process,' we will object to a new one."
The BBP also included a video of the party's chairman, Mustafa Destici, regarding the solution process in their post.
'IN WHOSE NAME ARE WE GOING TO DO THE SOLUTION PROCESS?'
In the video, Destici summarized his statements as follows:
-Turkey's fight against terrorism has been going on for more than 40 years. We all wish, of course, for terrorism to end, for weapons to be laid down... for unity and solidarity to be achieved.
-But the terrorist organization we are facing is not a situation they created as their own partner. We are facing a terrorist organization that imperialists established, supported, nurtured, and have been attacking Turkey with for 40 years.
-In whose name are we going to do this reconciliation, solution process, or making peace? We have thousands of martyrs. Did we ask the families of our martyrs?"
