The first reaction to the operation from the CHP came from Deputy Chairman Burhanettin Bulut.

In a post on his X account, Bulut stated, "The government, which uses the politicized judiciary as a stick, continues its political conspiracies under the guise of 'terrorism' to discredit the people's municipalities. They have launched a terror investigation into 9 deputy mayors and municipal council members, including our deputy mayors of Istanbul's Kartal and Ataşehir municipalities. Because they have fallen from the eyes and hearts of the people, they are hoping for salvation from political conspiracies. They only have one ballot box's worth of power left."

ANOTHER REACTION FROM GÜNAYDIN

Another reaction to the municipal operations came from the CHP's Gökhan Günaydın. In a post on his social media account, Günaydın included the following statements:

Those who call Öcalan to Parliament and meet with Ahmet Türk, whose position they replaced with a trustee, as part of a negotiation delegation;

have launched a terror investigation into the deputy mayors of Kartal and Ataşehir, as well as municipal council members from Üsküdar, Sancaktepe, Fatih, Tuzla, Adalar, Şişli, and Beyoğlu, on the claim that they were elected within the scope of the 'urban consensus.'

As always, the method of declaring the mentioned individuals guilty during the investigation phase, violating the presumption of innocence, was used through a prosecutor's statement made simultaneously with the operation in the morning hours.
