"LACK OF SERIOUSNESS, INCONSISTENCY, FABRICATION..."
Addressing AKP President Erdoğan without naming him, İmamoğlu said, "Lack of seriousness, inconsistency, fabrication... whatever you look for, you have it. You launched an investigation 8 months ago, you have thrown hundreds of people into prison in 70 days, and now you are taking statements under pressure. This is desperation. This is a confession of the lack of evidence and proof," he stated.
The full text of İmamoğlu's message is as follows:
"'The fate of those who thrive on oppression is terrible.'
Whether government or opposition, no matter who they voted for, you have convinced no one.
You are launching new waves of operations at every opportunity in your own mind to fill your empty file. You are trying to strengthen your investigation through threats, spreading fear, and blackmail.
Lack of seriousness, inconsistency, fabrication... whatever you look for, you have it. You launched an investigation 8 months ago, you have thrown hundreds of people into prison in 70 days, and now you are taking statements under pressure. This is desperation. This is a confession of the lack of evidence and proof.
Remember; you will be defeated one way or another. You will be defeated by the sighs of children who wake up to morning raids and the worried parents. A powerful slap that will go down in history, one you cannot even imagine, will come out of the ballot box."
