Holding a press conference at the Parliament, AKP Group Chairman Abdullah Güler announced the details of the 11th Judicial Package and then addressed the "secret visit offer to İmralı" claim brought to the agenda by CHP Chairman Özgür Özel.

Güler argued that Özel's remarks do not reflect the truth and stated that a serious process is being carried out.

"THESE ARE NOT STATEMENTS TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY"

Stating that Özel's remarks are not accurate, Güler used the following expressions:

"Friends, we are managing a very serious process. We are working toward the goal of a Turkey without terrorism. Unfortunately, Mr. Özgür Özel is not making statements that should be taken seriously. If I call it a lie, it's one thing; if I call it a fabrication, it's another... Unfortunately, his mind is elsewhere."

Güler also criticized Özel's remarks regarding the nature of the visit, saying, "Did they go in the morning, did they go in the evening, did they go by helicopter, did they go with a corset... Is this what he is curious about?"

DETAILS REGARDING THE COMMISSION'S VISIT

Reminding that the process is being conducted by the National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission, the AKP Group Chairman stated that three members of parliament met with Abdullah Öcalan, who is imprisoned in İmralı, on February 27.

He said that questions regarding the future of the process were directed to him with the knowledge of the commission during the meeting, and that the information obtained would be shared with the commission.

"THE AUTHORITIES ARE KNOWN, THE CLAIMANT SHOULD DISCLOSE"

Stating that the public knows who is conducting the process, Güler listed the authorized names as follows:

Himself (AKP Group Chairman Abdullah Güler)

AKP Deputy Chairman Efkan Ala

Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik

Group Deputy Chairman Özlem Zengin

"Who is this authority? Let him say it clearly. They should stay away from tabloid-style politics," he said.

"WE ARE WORKING TO SOLVE 50 YEARS OF PAIN"

Drawing attention to the seriousness of the efforts to resolve the terrorism issue, Güler spoke as follows:

"We are trying to solve the terrorism issue that has caused great pain in Turkey's 50-year history. We are envisioning a future where weapons and violence will no longer be discussed in this society. Everyone should act responsibly. They should not trivialize this process with funny, fabricated statements."
