First statement from AKP following mass resignations
Following the resignation of 8 provincial chairs within the last two days, the AKP has entered a process of administrative change. The party issued an official statement following these developments.

A significant change has taken place within the AKP over the last 48 hours. The provincial chairs in Muğla, Çanakkale, Adıyaman, Niğde, Tunceli, Bitlis, Elazığ, and Ordu have resigned from their posts.
In a statement issued by the party, it was noted that comprehensive evaluations were conducted following the congress period to strengthen the political presence in these cities, and that changes in leadership were initiated in these 8 provinces accordingly.
The statement included the following: "The fact that our work in these cities remained below our desired level following the congress has formed the main axis of this change process."
While it was stated that the new provincial chairs would begin their duties shortly, it was emphasized that these changes would increase the sense of brotherhood and energy within the party. The AKP, "Changes in our organizations are a tradition that will carry the brotherhood among us and the energy in our work to a higher level" the party stated.
Touching upon preparations for the 2028 elections, the party said, "Our primary goal is to continue our struggle with the cadres that will allow us to achieve the strongest results in the 2028 elections, in order to continue building the Century of Türkiye under the leadership of our Chairman, President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan."
