First statement from the AKP regarding the Erdoğan-Özel meeting! What topics will be discussed at the critical summit?

All eyes in the political agenda have turned to the meeting between AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and CHP Chairman Özgür Özel.

While the location and timing of the critical summit have not yet been finalized, the first statement regarding the meeting has come from the AKP.

Speaking on Kanal 7, AKP Group Deputy Chairperson Leyla Şahin Usta explained which topics the two leaders would address.

AKP's Usta stated the following:

"There is no exact information yet regarding when the meeting will take place. It was discussed that the private offices will work on it for this week or the next. It will likely be at Beştepe. It would have been abnormal for them not to talk at all. Kılıçdaroğlu's statement after Özel's meeting request, saying 'One does not negotiate, one struggles,' shows where this problem stems from.

The first meeting is not a decision, but a step toward starting and continuing negotiations. Özgür Özel says he will bring agendas by talking with his former Chairmen and his own party teams. I think the economy will be at the forefront, he says so himself. These are our main agendas as well. Saying 'let's talk' to solve these problems of the country is a good thing."
