Flash development in IMM case: Investigation launched into footage leaked from the courtroom

The first session of the case involving 402 defendants, including Ekrem İmamoğlu, which was opened with an indictment of approximately 3,900 pages prepared within the scope of the investigation into the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), began on Monday, March 9, in Silivri.
While the hearings were ongoing, the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced that an investigation had been launched regarding the sharing of footage recorded during the hearings of the IMM Case, which is being heard at the Istanbul 40th High Criminal Court, on social media.

It has been understood that footage, which appears to have been taken during the hearings of the file numbered 2025/318 E., the trial of which has begun at the Istanbul 40th High Criminal Court, held in courtroom number 1 at the Marmara Penal Execution Institutions, has been shared via social media accounts;
An ex officio investigation has been launched under Article 286 of the Turkish Penal Code (TCK) No. 5237 against the individuals who made unauthorized audio or video recordings during the prosecution proceedings and transmitted them by sharing them on social media accounts, and instructions have been given to the Istanbul Provincial Police Department's Cyber Crimes Combat Branch to identify the acts and the perpetrators.
