Following CHP municipalities, AKP municipalities also make a move for city restaurants: 'Haydi Sofraya'

Following the City Restaurants opened by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, the Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality has launched its own restaurants called "Haydi Sofraya" (Come to the Table). Gaziantep Metropolitan Mayor Fatma Şahin announced that they have opened 4 branches and will soon open 3 more.

The City Restaurants initiative, launched by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) in June 2022, continues to spread across Turkey. 

This model, which was met with interest by CHP-run municipalities, has now been adopted by other municipalities as well.

Most recently, restaurants named “Haydi Sofraya” have begun operations in Gaziantep. 

Gaziantep Metropolitan Mayor Fatma Şahin stated that the four restaurants opened under the name “Haydi Sofraya” have received great interest from the public. In a statement on her social media account, Şahin announced that four courses of food are offered at the restaurants for 40 liras.

In her post, Şahin used the following expressions: “We have four 'Haydi Sofraya' restaurants in Gaziantep that offer 4 courses of food for 40 liras. I just visited them; the satisfaction of our people is at a high level, and I am happy as well. Let me give the good news here; we will open 3 more Haydi Sofraya in the coming days. May it be a hearty meal for everyone.”
