Former HDP MP Hüda Kaya arrested

The Ankara 4th Criminal Court of Peace has issued an arrest warrant for former HDP Istanbul MP Hüda Kaya as part of the "Kobani" investigation.

SHE HAD BEEN DETAINED

Hüda Kaya was detained at Istanbul Airport under the instructions of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office as part of an investigation launched by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

It was learned that an investigation had been opened against Kaya on charges of "violating the Law on Meetings and Demonstrations No. 2911" and "resisting to prevent the performance of duty."

HER LAWYER ANNOUNCED THE ARREST

Hüda Kaya, who gave her statement to the prosecutor as part of the investigation, was arrested by the Ankara 4th Criminal Court of Peace to which she was referred.

The news of the arrest was announced by her lawyer, Erselan Aktan.
