The new reconciliation process dubbed "Terror-Free Turkey," architected by Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, has sparked controversy within the party.

This process led to the resignation of Alptuğ Metin Alpdemir, one of the former officials of the MHP Körfez District Organization in Kocaeli. In a statement on social media, Alpdemir announced his departure from the party, saying, "We have no answers left to give anyone."

In his resignation statement, Alpdemir noted that he was ending his MHP membership without compromising his nationalist and idealist stance.

"YOU HAVE SIDED WITH THOSE WHO FIRE BULLETS AT BABIES"

Alpdemir, who said, "Those who think I am not a very intelligent man should keep their own thoughts and ideas to themselves. As long as some things do not change in this process, I will not hold any party membership, and I wish success and patience to all my brothers and sisters who are involved in politics. I declare that our views have not changed. However, I must state that this process has worn us out significantly and we no longer have any answers to give anyone," concluded his remarks as follows:

"In this country, I have still not seen a Kurdish or Turkish problem. The problem is with you and within yourselves. You have made brother strike brother; you have sided with those who fire bullets at the baby in the cradle. Please, I do not want to receive even a single phone call regarding this matter. May what is ours be lawful to those who deserve it, and may those who have a right to ours grant us their forgiveness."
