All Eyes on Erdoğan in Kızılcahamam... He will deliver messages on 3 issues

The 32nd edition of the AKP's traditional annual Kızılcahamam camp began today. It is stated that this year's camp holds special importance in terms of both domestic and foreign policy. The expectation that a new period will begin under the banner of a "Terror-Free Turkey" and that the roadmap for this process will be shaped has placed the camp at the center of the political agenda.

HOURS REMAIN UNTIL ERDOĞAN'S HISTORIC SPEECH

All eyes are turned to President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who will speak at the opening of the camp. Erdoğan's speech will begin today at 10:00 AM.

TERROR-FREE TURKEY CALENDAR

Expectations in the corridors regarding Erdoğan's speech are focused on three main topics.

1 - The first is the announcement that a new phase has been entered in the "Terror-Free Turkey" process, following images of the PKK's initial surrender of weapons. In this context, it is assessed that Erdoğan may provide messages regarding the timeline for the completion of the disarmament process and the status of those currently in the mountains.

'COURAGEOUS DEFIANCE'

2 - The second topic is the emphasis on a "new threshold" for a new constitution. Sources pointing out that the activation of civil politics will be an important heading comment that "it will be understood from Erdoğan's statement that a stage has been reached where those who were confused until today will say, 'We understand the issue now'." There is also an assessment that Erdoğan will make a "courageous act of defiance" regarding sub-headings such as "democratization, freedoms, and the expression of ethnic identities" in the new constitution.

3 - The most striking expectation voiced in AKP corridors regarding the "historic" speech is that Erdoğan will issue a clear call to Europe to restart the EU membership process as a "natural consequence" of steps taken toward democratization and a new constitution. AKP officials comment, "We see the EU as a key to overcoming certain problems, such as difficulties in foreign capital flow to Turkey. Even the mention of visa-free travel builds an environment of trust for foreign capital to come to Turkey. The most important reason why EU chapters could not be reopened until today was Turkey's problems with democratization, terror, the constitution, and freedoms. But if terror is now over, and if significant progress is made in the constitution regarding freedoms, then if the EU is truly sincere about 'terror,' a step can be taken on this issue. Our President may make a call to Europe."

THEME DETERMINED

The camp program, organized for the 32nd time by the AKP, will continue until Sunday. Members of parliament, headquarters executives, and party boards will come together. The camp will be held under the theme, 'Leadership that Transcends Borders with the Power of the Nation.' Domestic and foreign developments, as well as current political issues, will be discussed. Additionally, some ministers and party executives will give presentations. The camp will discuss the AKP's roadmap for the new period. Work to be carried out in the field during the 3-year election-free period will be planned.

A new-generation mobile application will also be launched to help participants make the process more efficient. Participants will be able to access the camp calendar, hall maps, and real-time updates on President Erdoğan's schedule through the app they download to their phones. This will provide a camp process supported by technological capabilities.
