On July 1, during the "The Nation Protects Its Will" rally, which was attended by CHP Chairman Özgür Özel and where 42 people were detained, 13 young people, the oldest of whom was born in 2001, were arrested.
This rally coincided with the 100th day of the protests that began following the arrest of Ekrem İmamoğlu. Emircan Yılmaz, who is among the 13 detained youths, described the continuation of his detention and the emotions he is experiencing in his message.
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office prepared an indictment against 35 people arrested on charges of violating the Law on Meetings and Demonstrations No. 2911.
